Wendy with Tony Sarg Marionettes - Limited Edition 500 pieces - What better way to celebrate the Madame Alexander Doll Company's 90th Anniversary than to honor the collaboration of Madame and Tony Sarg, the designer of a collection of very popular marionettes and theatres produced in 1935. This 8 Wendy doll is a brown eyed girl with long taffy tan hair pulled up on the sides, held with a pink bow, and full bangs. Wendy is dressed as an all-American girl from the 30's wearing a short-sleeved hot pink floral pattern dress enhanced at the hem, waist, and on the white Peter Pan collar with pink and white embroidered trim in a scalloped design.
Nailheads for buttons down the center front add a quaint touch as do her pink Mary Janes, white socks, and panties, as well as a white lace trimmed petticoat. She is a real little performer with her very own tiny marionettes, looking much like the originals designed by Tony Sarg, and her authentic looking theatre. Little Red Riding Hood wears a sleeveless dress with a white cotton bodice and a red and white gingham skirt. Over the dress she wears a red flock hooded cape with a red satin ribbon waistband and closures.
