1993 Madame Alexander CAROLINE'S STORYLAND TRUNK MINT UNUSED & DOLL RESTRUNG
In 1993 (as shown on the Alexander's pink wrist tag). I tested Caroline's arms & legs because she was made in 1993 (many of the 8 Alexander dolls from that period now have loose arms and legs). Sure enough, loose limbs, so. She has been completely restrung. 8 Caroline has blonde hair that is tied into 2 curly pigtails. She is wearing underwear and socks (just as she came originally). Caroline's outfits are tagged - included are. Caroline's blue & white dress with red trim and white lace. Caroline's red dress with white hearts and white lace. Caroline's Little Bo Peep outfit includes a colorful dress, a matching hat, thigh-high sheer pink stockings, pink underwear, and a white staff with a pink bow. Caroline's glittery blue Ballerina costume includes a fancy white headpiece and a gold wand. There are several other clothing accessories: 2 aprons, a white petticoat, socks, and pantalets. Also included are 2 ribbons - red and blue - which appear to be for Caroline's hair.
Also included are 4 pairs of shoes: black with pink bows, red, gold, and black Mary Jane shoes. Plus, this set came with a small "Something Nice to Look At" book that has a story and illustrations.
Also, the set has 4 white plastic hangers that fit on the trunk's interior gold clothes bar. Alexander metal trunk that has a side.
Latch, a white handle on the top, and a pull-out drawer. As an adult collector, my dolls have been stored in a smoke-free, climate-controlled room in my house. Caroline, her outfits, various accessories, trunk, and cardboard shipper are all in overall. Caroline's eyes stick, so they stay open all the time (they will manually close) - which is common for the 8-inch Alexander dolls from the early 90s. Is based on 4 lbs.
